Growing Strong Children
We are excited about the progress the students are making, especially in the areas of reading, writing, and math.
The weekly school schedule includes many enrichment activities such as chapel, art, music, physical and health education, and after school clubs. Students also experience several field trips each year. Some of our field trips include the Baton Rouge Symphony, LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens, the USS Kidd, Louisiana Art and Science Museum, the Louisiana State Capitol, CYT theatrical performances, and visiting with and singing for residents at Catholic/Presbyterian Apartments. We offer our students as many hands-on and physical learning experiences as possible. The academic progress and learning activities of students are possible because of the generous and faithful support of others with their time, effort and financial resources.
Please contact us if you would like to visit, enroll your child, volunteer, or give financially.
We are now in our ninth year as a school. We have gone from 10 students in 2011 to 125 students in Preschool – 5th grade. There are 30 qualified, full-time teachers on staff along with several part-time, subject-focused and ancillary teachers. Other key positions include a child nutrition coordinator, a translator and interpreter that also servers as liaison to Spanish speaking families, and a full-time counselor to address the emotional and spiritual needs of our students and their families. Volunteers regularly help with academics and special activities.
We are grateful for our beautiful, ten classroom building and an administration/multi-purpose building on a large 2-acre lot in the heart of the Gardere Community. We recently added a two-room Early Childhood building for our two PreK-3 classes. Our administration building and land were graciously donated by New Life Church. God has used our partners in faith to further His kingdom to His glory!
