Teachers often joke, “Where did the pencils go - do children eat them?” That’s where our playful “Pencil Monsters” come in - imaginary troublemakers who sneak around stealing supplies!

While it’s all in fun, the financial burden is very real for our low-income families. You can make a meaningful difference by joining our annual school supply drive - and inviting your friends to help too.

Help Combat the Pencil Monsters

Did you know the average family spends about $150 per child each year on school supplies—including replacements when items run out or disappear? Help the students of GCCS start the 2026-27 school year off right. We’ve made it easy to make a difference for kids in need:

• Order supplies from our registry

• Send them directly to the school or to your home and drop them off any time

• Please send by July 13th so we have time to fill in the gaps

Summer Camp
This summer our students are focusing on Literacy and the Arts. There are approximately 65 students attending GCCS’ summer camp (summer school) throughout the month of June and another 100 or so participating in our summer Bookworm Club.
